Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School Students shine at NASI Summer School in the Hills of Nainital
Students from Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School — Anubhav Mishra and Deepak Yadav (Class 12 A1), Bhavishya Mishra and Ananyatam Rai (Class 12 A2) — along with Mr. Jitendra Kumar Pandey (PGT Mathematics), successfully participated in a prestigious week-long Summer School Program held from 20th to 26th June 2025 at Graphic Era Hill University, Nainital.
The event was organized in collaboration with Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School and funded by the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).
Set against the serene backdrop of the Bhimtal hills and guided by Mr. A.K. Nayar, Director of GEHU Nainital, the program blended rigorous academic sessions with experiential learning and ecological exploration. Students had the opportunity to interact with eminent scholars including Prof. Swapnil Mukherjee (Secretary, NASI), Prof. S.S. Khare, Prof. Sharda Sundaram Sanjay, Prof. D.C. Maurya, and Prof. Naren. Topics explored ranged from Geometry, Cosmology, Chemistry, and Physics to the real-world applications of Mathematics.
Highlights included engaging lectures on Euclidean and Taxicab Geometry, Molecular Symmetry, Conic Sections, and a captivating session by Dr. Ravi N. Margasahayam (NASA-KSC), who offered valuable insights into space science and safety protocols.
The program also featured an enriching excursion to Sattal Lake and Nal Damyanti Tal, combining science with nature-based learning.
The week concluded with a reflective session, leaving participants inspired by a journey of intellectual discovery and personal growth.
