Where Gratitude Took Centre Stage: Celebrating the Nation Builders

On 5 September 2026, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School marked Teachers' Day with an elegant and heartfelt celebration that honoured the people who do more than teach lessons—they shape character, awaken curiosity and build the nation, one young mind at a time.

The Rabindralaya Auditorium came alive with a magnificent show presented by the Student Council, featuring Guru Vandana, soulful music, graceful dances, an engaging theatrical presentation and a special musical tribute to the teaching fraternity. A delightful round of games for teachers added warmth, laughter and a touch of nostalgia to the occasion.

Led by Head Girl Drishna Dubey, the Student Council conveyed the students’ profound gratitude, while the Musical Group offered a moving tribute to their mentors.

Principal Mrs Dolly Banerjee extended her warm wishes to the teaching fraternity and appreciated the students’ thoughtful initiative. The celebration echoed a timeless conviction: teachers are nation-builders—not merely because they impart knowledge, but because they nurture values, cultivate responsible citizens and quietly influence the future of society.

The distinguished gathering included Shri Pradeep Mukherjee, President, JTES; Prof. Ashim Mukherjee, Vice President; Shri Sanjeev Chanda, Secretary; Shri Shankar Chatterjee, Treasurer; Shri Amit Kumar Neogy, Manager, and other esteemed members of Jagat Taran Education Society, alongside students and members of the teaching fraternity.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Senior Teacher Ms Pallavi Singh, leaving the audience with a simple yet profound message: the finest teachers leave behind not footprints, but possibilities.
