The Basketball Court of Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School was brimming with great zeal and enthusiasm and frolicsome ambience  on  29 August , 2025 as a friendly match was organised and was played between the  Mighty Blue Panthers and the Fierce Golden Warriors to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Hockey Wizard,Major Dhyanchand as an initiative to promote true sportsman spirit and physical fitness among the students,  as Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School has always aimed to hone the skills of its students.

The two power packed teams were ready for an electrifying game and showed their vigour and   skills outright.

The Blue Panthers known for their speed, strategy and seamless teamwork were led by their captain Divyansh Gupta (12 C) dominated the court with skill and true sportsman spirit. 

The Golden Warriors recognised their power, precision and passion were led by Aarush Singh (12 D).

The Principal of the school,Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo shook hands with the captains of the two teams and players and wished them luck for the match. In this friendly match Golden Warriors came out victorious as they defeated The  Blue Panthers with 51-24 score. 

The budding players were brimming with emotions like apprehension, excitement, pride and aggression . But by the end of the match they learned that a game is not only about winning ,it is also about accepting defeat gracefully.

While giving away the medals  to the winners, the school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo appreciated the efforts of the building players. She emphasized that such competitions open up new avenues for the students. She highlighted that sports are very essential for physical fitness as well as mental health. She congratulated all the players for their active participation in the competition and exhorted them to keep up the sportsman spirit in its true sense.
