A highly enriching teachers’ training session on “The Invisible Backpack: What Students Carry and Teachers can Unpack” was organised by G. Ram Books Publication in the school today on 25 August, 2025. The session aimed at sensitising teachers towards understanding students’ hidden emotional burdens and equipping them with strategies to respond effectively.
The esteemed resource person, Mrs. Aparna Tyagi, a counselling psychologist and family therapist, conducted the session with deep insight and practical examples. She elaborated on how teachers can decode student behaviour through a trauma lens, thereby understanding the invisible struggles many children silently carry. She emphasised that acknowledging these unseen challenges not only empowers young minds but also paves the way for transforming behaviour positively.
Mr. Shashikant Pandey from G. Ram Books Publication also graced the occasion and shared his thoughts on the importance of such training initiatives for modern educators.
The session was attended by the Principal, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo, along with coordinators and the entire teaching faculty. Teachers actively participated in discussions, reflecting on their classroom experiences and learning innovative approaches for student well-being.
The training concluded with a note of gratitude and the collective resolve to implement the insights gained for fostering a more empathetic and supportive learning environment.
