Where Curiosity Met Challenge: A Celebration of Scientific Thinking
Under the guidance and encouragement of Principal Mrs Dolly Banerjee, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School hosted its Inter-House Science Quiz Competition for Classes XI and XII on 18 September 2026, transforming scientific knowledge into an exciting arena of curiosity, reasoning and intellectual agility. When Subhash, Tagore, Bankim and Vivekananda Houses competing with remarkable enthusiasm, the quiz became a stimulating test of knowledge, precision and presence of mind.
Moving beyond the confines of textbooks, the competition explored Physics, Chemistry, Biology, scientific discoveries, logical application and space technology through four thoughtfully designed rounds—Fundamental Recall, Visual & Practical Identification, Buzzer Round and Rapid Fire. From identifying scientific apparatus and interpreting reactions to tackling analytical questions and emerging space-tech innovations, every round demanded alertness, accuracy and strategic thinking.
The intensity reached its peak during the Buzzer Round, where negative marking made every decision consequential. The Rapid Fire Round then brought the competition to a thrilling close, challenging teams to demonstrate exceptional speed and spontaneity within 60 seconds.
RESULTS
1st position - Vivekananda House led by Swati Verma (XII-B) and Aradhya Singh (XI-A2).
2nd position- Subhash House represented by Jahnvi Chaurasia (XII-B) and Suprabha Parmar (XI-A1).
3rd position - Bankim House represented by Ishani Srivastava (XII-B) and Anmol Mishra (XI-B).
while Tagore House secured the 4th position represented by Nitin Mishra (XII-A1) and Aadhya Sharma (XI-B).
The event was beautifully compered and efficiently conducted by Vageesha Chaurasia, President, and Rudraksh Mishra, Vice-President, Science Club.
The Principal felicitated the winners and participants, appreciating their spirited participation and the meticulous execution of the competition. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Science Club President.
